Morrison, TN resident and native James Frankie William Gilbert, age 74, was born June 4, 1946 and died December 22, 2020 at his residence following an extended illness. Mr. Gilbert was the son of the late Lucius and Bertha Kay Brown Gilbert. He was a member of Browntown Church of Christ in Morrison, TN. He attended and graduated from McMinnville Trade School, what is now known as Tennessee College of Applied Technology. He used his acquired skills to perfect his trade in tool and die at Carrier Corporation, to which he retired after 30 years of service. He was an avid farmer, who loved taking care of his livestock. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, and attending auctions and livestock sales. He is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Tamara and Marlon Means of Alabama; five siblings and spouses, Connie Mae and William Rhodes of Detroit, MI, Jimmy Garfield and Phillis Graham of Yuma, AZ, Thomas Zachariah Graham of Morrison, TN, Richard John Martin Graham of Fresno, CA and Barbara Bailey and Allen Ray Dalton of McMinnville, TN; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Thursday, December 31, 2020 in High's Chapel with Eugene Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow at the Gilbert residence in Morrison, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at High's. Please wear masks, wash hands, and follow social distancing rules.
