Fred Richard Hodge

Cookeville, TN resident and Coffee County, TN native Fred Richard Hodge, age 78, was born June 25, 1942 and died March 10, 2021 at his residence following an extended illness. A US Army veteran, former employee of Carrier, and retired truck driver from Averitt Express, he was the son of the late James and Roxie Redfern Hodge. He was married to Rebecca Castellanos Hodge of Cookeville, TN on December 3, 1982. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandson, Gunner Hertwig and brother, Bub Hodge. In addition to his wife, Mr. Hodge is survived by three children, Brandy (Michael) Reep of Cookeville, TN, Amber (Casey) Hertwig of McMinnville, TN, and Scarlette Hodge (Mike Powell) of Hermitage, TN; seven grandchildren, Madison Reep, Gavin Reep, Sadie Reep, Stella Reep, Josie Hertwig, Willow Hertwig, and Toby Hertwig; sister, Elna Mae Howard of Winchester, TN; brother, Jimmy Hodge of Morrison, TN; sister, Sue Shannon of Manchester, TN; sister, Martha Lou Sells of Cowan, TN; and granddogs: Lilly & Gus. Graveside service and interment will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, March 12, 2021 at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County, TN with Michael Reep officiating. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery. Military Grave Rites will be administered by American Legion Post 173 Honor Guard and VFW Post 5064.
