Geneva May Hobbs

McMinnville, TN resident and Davidson County, TN native Geneva May Hobbs, age 94, was born January 25, 1930 and died August 18, 2024 at Willow Branch in McMinnville following an extended illness.

A retired sales associate with JC Penney Co., she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Ada King Winders. She was married to English Hobbs on June 1, 1948 who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother, Grady Winders.

Mrs. Hobbs is survived by daughter, Theresa (Jim) Durham of McMinnville; son, Waymon (Carol) Hobbs of McMinnville; grandchildren, Andrea (Sam) Stotts of McMinnville, Kristen (Chris) Summers of McMinnville and Chanda (John) Lanier of Nashville, TN; great-grandchildren, Ben, Ivy, Peyton, Jesse, Blayton and Alley and several nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, 2024 at Mt. View Cemetery with Kevin Key officiating. There will be no visitation at High’s. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery.
