McMinnville resident and Warren County native Gordon Ray McGee, Sr., age 73, was born September 8, 1946 and died October 27, 2019 at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, TN following a sudden illness. A land developer and contractor and founder of Pioneer Building Supply, he was the son of the late J.C. and Ruth Spencer Phillips and was a member of the Methodist Church. Mr. McGee was married December 11, 1965 to Clara Brock McGee of McMinnville. In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Amie and Kenny Hodges of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Gordon and Janet McGee, Jr. of McMinnville; four grandchildren, Kenneth Brandon (Kristen) Hodges, Kendra Rae (Ben) Matheney, Garrick Raylan McGee and Gavin Rayce McGee all of McMinnville; two great-grandchildren, Lillie Mae Hodges and Evie Jay Hodges; future great-grandson, Boone Edward Matheney; four cousins, Helen Sue (Carl) Kidd of Tullahoma, TN and Judy Ann (Michael) Henegar, Jason Henegar and Kristin Henegar all of Murfreesboro, TN and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 31, 2019 in High's Chapel with Jim Smith and Iven "Red" Craven officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Thursday at High's. A Masonic Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Wednesday evening during the visitation. Memorial donations may be made to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
