Harry Frank Ghrist, Jr.

McMinnville, TN resident and Connellsville, PA native Harry Frank Ghrist, Jr., age 95, was born November 26, 1926 and died February 12, 2022 at his residence following a sudden illness. A retired United States Navy veteran of WWII and member of Smartt First Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Harry Frank and Albena Nancy Dulack Ghrist, Sr. He was married to Eleanor Ghrist of McMinnville, TN on April 14, 1946. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by children, April Mickelsen, Dawn Nunley, Glenn Christ and Daymond Ghrist. In addition to his wife, Mr. Ghrist is survived by four children and spouses, Lief and Carol Ghrist of McMinnville, TN, Clay and Joan Ghrist of Texas, Sherd and Kathy Ghrist of Rock Island, TN and Tana Fraser of South Carolina; numerous grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Mr. Ghrist will be cremated. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at Smartt First Baptist Church with Johnny Newby officiating.
