McMinnville, TN resident and Hazel Green, AL native Hazel Annette Wanamaker, age 82, was born June 8, 1937 and died August 7, 2019 at Raintree Manor following an extended illness. A retired LPN with NHC Healthcare and a founding member of Baptist Grace Tabernacle, she was the daughter of the late John and Beulah Pearson Phillips. She was married to Carl Cantrell Wanamaker who preceded her in death on April 20, 2010. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five siblings, Paul, Buddy, J.C. and Elmer Phillips and Catherine Clendenon; sister-in-law, Kelly Phillips; son-in-law, Walton McGregor; and four nephews and three nieces. She is survived by daughter, Teresa Wanamaker of McMinnville; son, Toney Wanamaker (Brad Walker) of Smithville, TN; grandchild, Crystal McGregor of McMinnville; beloved great-grandchild, Kerigan Dugan; sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Homer Simpson of Dunlap, TN; two brothers and sister-in-law, Ray and Marie Phillips of Bell Buckle, TN and Roy Phillips of Bell Buckle, TN; several nieces and nephews; and special family friend, Bart Nino. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, August 10, 2019 in High's Chapel with John Padgett officiating. Burial will follow in Shiloh Cemetery.
