McMinnville resident and Warren County native Henry Eugene Magness, Jr., age 84, was born January 7, 1939 and died September 2, 2023 at his residence following a brief illness.
A retired engineer with Goodrich Aerospace and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Henry Eugene and Gladys Woodlee Magness, Sr. He was married to Linda Joyce Cagle Magness who preceded him in death April 10, 2016. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Patty Sue Haston.
Mr. Magness is survived by five children, Cheryl (Jerry) Fults, Rickey (Nicole) Magness, Dana Green, Kevin (Holly) Magness and Brian (Angel) Magness all of McMinnville; eleven grandchildren, William Dustin (Lynn) Fann, Jordan (Maggi) Fann, Olivia (Keenan) Locher, Makenzie (Emily) Vergeson, Gabriella Magness, Nathaniel (Lindsi) Green, Meagan Green, Tyler Magness, Kylie Magness, Webster Magness and Heavenly Magness; twelve great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Lowell Haston of McMinnville; two sisters-in-law, Wanda (Dennis) Barnes and Anita Cagle both of McMinnville; several nieces and nephews and caregive/co-worker, Jona Nelson.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 5, 2023 in High's Chapel with Ray Weddington and Johnny Newby officiating. Burial will follow in the Hebron Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Monday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Tuesday at High's.
