Hollis Lee Pitman

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Hollis Lee Pitman, age 67, was born March 14, 1957 and died January 4, 2025 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN following a sudden illness. 

A former employee of Yorozu and an avid fisherman, he was the son of the late Alex Houston and Inez Green Pitman. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister, Ruby Pitman. 

Hollis is survived by lifelong partner and mother of his children, Delores Maxine Pitman of McMinnville; sons, Michael Lee (Sharon) Pitman of Morrison, TN and Randy Marshall (Melinda) Pitman of Rock Island, TN; daughter, Amanda Christine (Abe) Lewis of McMinnville; grandchildren, Kertis (Braley), Destiny and Hannah Pitman, Zoey, Calub (Shaunta), Tiler, Savannah and Abbey Pitman, Haylie Washer and Jaxxon Lewis; several great-grandchildren; brother, James Pitman; special cousin, Timmy Pease and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. 

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 7, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Bill Bennett officiating. Burial will follow at Old Bybee Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Monday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
