Houston L. Taylor

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Houston L. Taylor, age 87, was born June 9, 1934 and died February 3, 2022 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville following an extended illness. A Tennessee Army National Guard veteran, retired self-employed nurseryman and logger, and member of Smyrna Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Samuel Lester and Maude Jones Taylor. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers and sisters-in-law, Foster and Edna Taylor and LA and Goldie Taylor and sister and brother-in-law, Melba and Felton Rhea. Mr. Taylor is survived by two sons and daughters-in-Law, Barry and Tia Taylor of McMinnville, TN and Gary and Connie Taylor of LaVergne; six grandchildren, Brody and Kinslee Taylor of McMinnville, TN and Daniel, Izaiah, Bella, Keylen and Courtlyn Taylor, all of LaVergne, TN; nieces, June McGee, Ann Milstead, Kathy Pearsall, and Janice Barrett; nephews, Bobby Taylor and Danice Taylor; several great-nieces and great-nephews and beloved friends, Darrell and Collette Lee. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 7, 2022 at Smyrna Church of Christ in Warren County, TN with Rickey Magness officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Monday from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
