Iva Jean Cunningham

McMinnville resident and Coffee County, TN native Iva Jean Cunningham, age 82, was born November 13, 1941 and died October 21, 2024 at Unity Medical Center in Manchester, TN following an extended illness. 

A homemaker and a member of Bybee Branch Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Delter and Myrtle Sissom Tenpenny She was married to Jimmy Lloyd Cunningham on April 1, 1961 who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by brother, Harlan Tenpenny and sister, Wilma Chisam. 

Mrs. Cunningham is survived by daughters, Melissa (Jamie) Brock of Cartersville, GA and Pam (Tommy) Turner of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Philip (Brooke) Brock of Crossville, TN, Jamison (Jalen) Brock of Tulsa, OK and Nathan Turner of McMinnville; great-grandchild, Oliver McCrae Brock; two sisters, Joyce Hickerson of Manchester, TN and Jewell Groves of McMinnville and brother, Ray Tenpenny of Murfreesboro, TN. 

Graveside service and interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Shady Grove Cemetery in Coffee County, TN with Larry Acuff officiating. No visitation or service will be held at High’s and family and friends will meet at the cemetery.
