Jack E. Newby, age 81, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County native was born August 4, 1938 and passed away October 27, 2019 at St. Thomas Highland of Sparta following a brief illness. A retired farmer and a member of the Central Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Andrew Thurman and Ocie Bell Redmon Newby. He was also preceded in death by wife, Shirley May English Newby; siblings, Josie Newby, Bessie Atnip, Arthur “Dick” Newby, Luceal King, J.T. Newby, Naomi Waller, James “Jim” Newby, Faye Bice, Joe Newby, Jean Newby, and Wayne Newby. Mr. Newby is survived by four children and spouses; Rhonda Moran, McMinnville, TN, Shawn & William Palombo, McMinnville, TN, Terry Hicks, Clarksville, TN and Tammy and David Adams, Clarksville, TN; nine grandchildren; Molli and Evan Moran, Ryan, Stevana, August, and Shani Palombo, Cody Luttrell, Brooke Jennings, and Cayli Hall; six great-grandchildren; Isabelle Palombo, Lenyx and Kennedy Luttrell, Addalyn Hollowell, Braxton Jennings, and Georgia Hall; sister and brother-in-law, Marguerite and Bill Loudermilk, McMinnville, TN; several nieces and nephews also survive. Graveside service and interment will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 4, 2019 in Salem Cemetery with August Palombo officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, November 3, 2019 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and from 10:00 a.m. until 12:15 p.m. Monday at High's.
