Centertown Community resident and Warren County native James Houston Driver, age 71, was born February 24, 1949 and died June 20, 2020 at Unity Medical Center in Manchester, TN following a sudden illness. A retired employee of Carrier Corporation and member of Unity Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Houston and Kizzie Mae Trusty Driver. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, Jack Driver and sister, Carol Matas. Mr. Driver was married April 24, 1970 to Bernice Williamson Driver, his wife of fifty years. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Chris (Kim) Driver and Chad Driver both of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Ashley (Brian) Wilkinson, Blake (Britann) Driver and Caylon Driver all of McMinnville; three great-grandchildren, Journey and Karson Wilkinson and River Driver; sister, Elizabeth Simons of Morrison, TN; uncle, Maurice Driver of Morrison, TN and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Mr. Driver enjoyed spending time with family and friends and after retirement, he and his son started D & D Home Improvement. Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 23, 2020 in High's Chapel with Ray Weddington officiating. Burial will follow in the Unity Cemetery.
