McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native James “Jim” Marlon Crim, age 75, was born February 10, 1946 and died January 31, 2022 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN following a sudden illness. Jimmy went very peacefully as he was ready to meet his Lord and Savior. Mr. Crim was a United States Navy veteran of Vietnam and former owner and operator of Byars Heating and Air for ten years prior to becoming a service consultant for Lennox Industries for thirty-two years. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church and the son of the late Frank and Dorothy Mullican Powell. Jim was married to Janice Cope Crim of McMinnville, TN on May 1, 1970. In addition to his wife, Mr. Crim is survived by two children and spouses, Matt and Donna Crim of Lafayette, TN and Wendy and Brian Anderson of Mt. Juliet, TN; three grandchildren and spouse, Erica Davis, Emily and Tyler Ellis and Addyson Anderson; first great-grandchild on the way; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gary and Elaine Powell and Tommy and Angel Powell, both of McMinnville, TN; brother-in-law, Larry Hobbs of McMinnville, TN; special uncle, Henry Mullican of Sparta, TN and several nieces and nephews. Per Mr. Crim’s wishes, he was cremated. A Celebration of Life was held at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, February 6, 2022 in High's Chapel with Mike Lee officiating. Graveside inurnment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN with Brent Craven officiating. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. Full military honors will be administered by American Legion Post 173 and VFW Post 5064. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Meals on Wheels.
