James "Muletrain" Rhea

McMinnville resident and Warren County native James “Muletrain” Rhea, age 78, was born May 29, 1946 and died January 9, 2025 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville following a sudden illness. 

A former employee of Forrest Nursery and a member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of Walter and Ossie Mae Rhea Rhea.  

He was married to Betty Ann Brady Rhea of McMinnville on May 25, 1973. In addition to his wife, James is survived by son, Jeff (Melissa) Phillips of Hendersonville, TN; brother, Sewel Rhea of McMinnville and nephews, Jimmy Patrick and Terry Grissom. 

Mr. Rhea will be cremated. No service or visitation will be held at High’s.
