James Noel Green, age 90, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native was born April 2, 1930 and passed October 29, 2020 at his residence following a sudden illness. He was a retired owner of Noel Green Nursery, a member of Shellsford Baptist Church, and the son of the late Farris Herbert and Eugenia J. Cagle Green. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by wife, Pearl Morton Green; daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte (David) Stalcup; son-in-law, Tommy Rambo; sisters, Janie Nunley and Ruth Hall; and brothers, Theopolis Green, A.W. "Buck" Green, Ferris Herbert Green, Jr., and Hoyle Green. Mr. Green was an avid hunter and fisherman. He loved his family and bluegrass music. He had also traveled to all 50 states. He is survived by daughter, Elaine Rambo; grandchildren, Tracy (George) Argo, Nicki (Ervin) Jewell, Jamie Bess (Bubba Robbins), and Brandon (Amanda) Stalcup; great-grandchildren, Ashley and Garrett Argo, Kelsey West, Samantha Roller, Michael Argo, and Elizabeth and Eli Stalcup; two great-great grandchildren all of McMinnville, TN; and special niece, Sue Kindle of Childress, TX. Many special friends that were like family also survive. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, November 1, 2020 in High’s Chapel with Bobby Pennington officiating. Burial will follow in Smyrna Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at High’s.
