McMinnville resident and Warren County native Jared "J.T." Gum, age 29, was born January 6, 1995 and died April 26, 2024 at Unity Medical Center in Manchester, TN following injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
A former employee of Legends RTC in Manchester, he was the son of Sandra Gum (Shannon Newby) and Charles (Tiffany) White, Jr. both of McMinnville and attended Freedom of Life Church. He was preceded in death by uncle, Jason Freeman; aunt, Nikki Ward; maternal great-grandparents, Mattie and J.T. Church and Floyd "Bear" and Mildred Ruth Freeman; paternal great-grandmother, Virginia Bonner and great-uncle, Mike Freeman.
In addition to his parents, "J.T." is survived by a son, Jayden Izik Gum; three step-daughters, Maddie Hollan, Sadie Jennings and Kinley Jennings; brothers, Cito (Tori) Garcia, Jathan Ford and Trevan (Zerlina) Gum of McMinnville; sisters, Asia Wright and Jadience Wright both of McMinnville; special sister, Maddalynne Noll; cousins, Vanessa and Zach Cagle, Stephanie and Jon Green, Cassie and Levi Cagle, Brianna Garcia, Ali and Dylan Meeks, Connor Wade, Kaden Williams, Riley Morton, Willow, Silas and Lincoln Freeman, Brittni Harrison and Michael and Mattie Freeman; several other special cousins; maternal grandparents, Robert and Dorothy Freeman; paternal grandparents, Charles White, Sr. and Virginia Farmer; aunts and uncles, Donna Church, Robert "Brother" (Laura) Freeman, Jennifer Acosta, Treva (Bryan) Noll, Jerry White and Eric White and special friends, Trey and Shalaco Cole.
Funeral service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2024 in High's Chapel with Anthony Campbell officiating. Burial will follow in the Center Hill Cemetery at Hills Creek. Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. Saturday and 9:00 a.m. until time of service Sunday at High's.
