J.C. Gillentine, age 79, a Quebeck, TN resident and Warren County, TN native was born November 8, 1938 and died June 2, 2018 at his residence.He was the Director of Hy-Lake Christian Camp for over 30 years, member of Rock Island Church of Christ and son of the late Charlie and Mary Ethel Womack Gillentine. Mr. Gillentine was a part of and witnessed over 3,000 baptisms. He was a farmer in the Midway Community for over 30 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, William Parker Gillentine; and grandson, Caleb Chaz Hall.Mr. Gillentine was married May 10, 1958 to Donna Carter Gillentine who survives. In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Tammy & Tim Hall of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Amy Gillentine of Walling; five grandchildren, Caitlyn Taylor and husband David of Cookeville, Mariah Hall of Knoxville, Kenzie Hall of McMinnville, Eli Gillentine and Ike Gillentine both of Walling; sister, Jean Rogers of McMinnville; sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Linda Dodson of McMinnville, Paula Templeton of Quebeck, Melissa and Richard Griffin of Rock Island; and several nieces and nephews.Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, June 4, 2018 in High’s Chapel with Mike Steakley, Gary Waller and Gary Clark to officiate. Interment will follow in Old Bybee Cemetery.
