Jerry Leavern Tate, Jr.

Jerry Leavern Tate, Jr., age 44, a McMinnville, TN resident and Grundy County, TN native, was born March 28, 1976 and passed November 6, 2020 following a sudden illness. He was a construction worker and the son of David Glenn Ward and the late Reda Fay Ward. In addition to his mother, he was also preceded in death by sister, Jennifer Jones. Mr. Tate is survived by wife, Amanda Tate of Morrison, TN; son, Elijah Tate of Cookeville, TN; daughter, Tatum Tate of Morrison, TN; step-daughter, Brooklyn Christman of McMinnville, TN; two grandsons, Kenyon Buford and Sawyer Christman both of McMinnville, TN; sister, LaWanda Fults of Grundy County; and brother, David A. Ward of McMinnville, TN. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, November 13, 2020 in High’s Chapel will Johnny Haston officiating.
