Jimmie Carolyn Knight, age 67, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County native was born September 28, 1952 and passed away March 22, 2020 at her residence following an extended illness will her family by her side. She was a retired forklift driver, a member of Pearls of Christ Church, and the daughter of James Paul Jones and the late Georgia Mae Hale Jones. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by grandparents, Henry and Martha Jones and George and Katherine Hale; uncle and aunt, Eddie and Della Bates; special cousin, Linda Moore, and father-in-law, Albert Knight. Mrs. Knight was married September 19, 1980 to Elton Knight who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter and son-in-law, Kelli (Charlie) Adams of McMinnville; son and daughter-in-law, Aaron (Jessica) Knight of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Hunter Adams, Tyler Adams, and Andrew Knight; father, Paul Jones of McMinnville; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy (Anthony) Tittsworth and Lisa (Jeff) Hill, all of McMinnville; aunt, Kathryn Akins of McMinnville; mother-in-law, Imogene Knight; nieces and nephews, Rebecca Tittsworth, Travis (Pepper) Tittsworth and family, Taylor (Brad) Ayers, and Lorelai Ayers; special cousin, Juan Milstead; uncles, Jewell (Matilda) Hale, Waymon (Melba) Hale, and Glen (Pam) Hale; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Estill (Darlene) Knight, Ricky Knight, Clinton Knight, Melissa (Alton) Scruggs, and Melody (Mike) Oliver; several other cousins, nieces, and nephews also survive; special friend, Marli Rigsby and friends at Avalon Hospice. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Smyrna Cemetery, 53 Byars Road, McMinnville, TN 37110. Graveside service and interment will be held at 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Smyrna Cemetery in Warren County with Anthony Wanamaker and Jason Brown officiating. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. No visitation will be held at High's.
