Jimmy Dale McGinness

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Jimmy Dale McGinness, age 48, was born April 27, 1974 and died suddenly February 19, 2023 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN.           

A truck driver and security officer with Bridgestone, he was the son of Carl David and Brenda Sue Bates McGinness of McMinnville, TN. In addition to his parents, Mr. McGinness was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, J.D. and Lerline McGinness; maternal grandparents, Corbin and Nellie McCormick and uncle, Bill McGinness. 

He was married to Amy McGinness of McMinnville, TN on October 31, 2020. In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. McGinness is survived by son, Avery (Emily) McGinness of Spencer, TN; two grandchildren, Harper and Maverick McGinness; three step-sons, Will (Shellie) Parker, Dillon (Rachel) Parker and Bo (Haley) Parker, all of Woodbury, TN; seven step-grandchildren, Ada, Haze, Cain, Hallie, Oaklyn, Avanell and Willow Parker; two sisters, Kim (Chris) Driver of the Centertown Community and Christy (Jose) Garcia of McMinnville, TN and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, February 23, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Sammy Lee and David George officiating. Burial will follow at Bethany Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
