McMinnville resident and Warren County native Jimmy Winfrey, age 63, was born June 14, 1960 and died April 22, 2024 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital in McMinnville following a brief illness.
A former employee of Yorozu and Cumberland Lumber Manufacturing, he was the son of the late Thomas Roy Winfrey and Faye and George Lytle.
He was married to Sheila Wanamaker Winfrey of McMinnville on April 21, 1984. In addition to his wife, Mr. Winfrey is survived by son, Jared Winfrey of McMinnville; grandson, Tyson Winfrey of McMinnville; sisters, Judy (Ricky) Fults and Lisa Williams, both of McMinnville; brother, Jackey Winfrey of McMinnville; nieces and nephews, Wendy Cantrell, Calvin Fults, Katelyn Bledsoe and Kiley Williams; mother-in-law, Jeweldean Wanamaker (Duane Campbell) of McMinnville; several aunts and uncles and special cousin, Troy (Cindy) Lytle of McMinnville.
Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2024 in High’s Chapel with Bobby Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Philadelphia Cemetery in Grundy County, TN. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
