Joan Gail Steakley

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Joan Gail Steakley, age 54, was born July 14, 1968 and died suddenly February 20, 2023 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN.           

A teacher with West Elementary School, she was the daughter of the late Charles Edward and Lavada Ann Tritt Steakley.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Joy Ann Steakley and nephew, Travis Steakley.

Ms. Steakley is survived by son, Ethan Steakley of McMinnville, TN; siblings, Bonnie Carter of Lebanon, TN, Gloria Patterson of West Virginia, Jerry (Earline) Steakley of McMinnville, TN and Tiffany (Jason) Reed of Morrison, TN and nieces, Camie Carter and Lori Hendrix.

Per Ms. Steakley’s wishes, she will be cremated. Memorial service will be held at 6:00 p.m. Friday, March 3, 2023 at West Elementary School with Dean Northcutt officiating. Visitation will be Friday from 5:00 p.m. until time of service at West Elementary School.
