Mt. Juliet, TN resident and DeKalb County, TN native Joe Howard Eller, age 92, was born April 26, 1925 and died February 15, 2018 at Providence Place Assisted Living in Mt. Juliet, TN following a three-week illness. Retired from Coca Cola Bottling Company and the University of Tennessee Knoxville, a United States Army veteran of WWII, and a member of the Baptist Church, he was the son of the late Charles David and Martha Kansas Puckett Eller. He was married on March 19, 1949 to Loray Simons Eller who preceded him in death on December 19, 2013. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by son, Joe David Eller; grandchild, Janette Eller; brother, Ralph Eller; and sister, Ann Buckner. He is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Vicki Eller of Mt. Juliet, TN; two grandchildren and spouses, Michelle and Ryan Nelson of Brentwood, TN and Jillian and Ryan Hudson of Knoxville, TN; three great-grandchildren, Maggie Nelson, Levi Hudson and Savannah Hudson; daughter-in-law, Susan Eller of Knoxville, TN; and several nieces and nephews also survive. A graveside service and interment will be held at 12:00 p.m. (ET) Sunday, February 18, 2018 in Lynnhurst Cemetery in Knoxville, TN with military grave rites administered by the East Tennessee Veterans Honor Guard.
