McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Joe McCormick, age 62, was born July 7, 1957 and died July 7, 2019 at his residence following an extended illness. A maintenance worker with the Warren County School System and a member of the First Assembly of God, he was the son of the late William Corbin and Nellie Lee Lewis McCormick. He was married to Treva Lee Muncey McCormick who preceded him in death. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by step-daughter, Kimberly Lee Payne; and sister, Beverly "Buzzy" McCormick Eubanks. He is survived by son, Joshua Leon O'Brien Payne of McMinnville; step-son, Jason O'Brien Payne of McMinnville; three grandchildren, Travis O'Brien Payne, Kimberly Eileen Payne and Samantha Renee Payne all of McMinnville; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Mariecha and Richard McCormick, Linda Bates and Brenda and Carl McGinness all of McMinnville; four brothers and sisters-in-law, Nathern Bates, David and Barbara Bates, Ricky and Louise McCormick, and Bobby McCormick all of McMinnville; and several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 10, 2019 in High's Chapel with Sammy Lee officiating. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday at High's.
