Joe Timothy Jones

Rock Island, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Joe Timothy Jones, age 69, was born July 12, 1951 and died June 4, 2021 at Cookeville Regional Medical Center in Cookeville, TN following a brief illness. A photographer and substitute teacher with Warren County School System and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Eugene and Georgia Maxwell Jones. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a niece, Wendy Jones and nephew, Allen Jones. Mr. Jones was married September 23, 1995 to Denise Lewis Jones of Rock Island, TN. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and son-in-law, Amy Hodges of McMinnville and Alana (Justin) Shores of Chattanooga, TN; five grandchildren, Ginny Hodges, Autumn Hodges and Jaycie Hodges all of McMinnville and Cameron Shores and Konnor Shores both of Chattanooga, TN; two brothers, Donnie (Mary) Jones of Florida and Ronnie (Judy) Jones of Nashville, TN; adopted brother, Steve Shroder, Sr. of Nashville, TN and nieces, Christy (Rob) Payne of Texas and Michelle Jones of Nashville, TN. A graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, June 7, 2021 at Gravel Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN with Jackie Matheny officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at High's. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to assist the family with funeral expenses.
