John William Dodson

McMinnville, TN resident and St. Augustine, FL native, John William Dodson, age 65, was born April 27, 1959 and died August 12, 2024 at St. Thomas River Park Hospital following an extended illness.

A former employee with Mid TN Building Supply, he was the son of the late Eugene and Mary Ruth Simmons Rigsby. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by wife, Annette Dodson and brother-in-law, Donald Hillis.

Mr. Dodson is survived by step-mother, Doris Rigsby of McMinnville; brothers, Dale (Ruby) Rigsby of McMinnville, Eddie (April) Rigsby of Warwich, GA, Dave (Kim) Rigsby and Paul Rigsby both of Monroe, MI, Daniel (Michelle) Goethe, Bobby (Earline) Dishman, Anthony (Hannah) Dishman, Mark Dishman and Nathan (Vivian) Dishman all of McMinnville; sisters, Jan (Sandy) Kelly of Americus, GA, Darlene (Wiley) Simmons of McMinnville, Tricia (Tim) Lowery of Summitville, Debbie (Doug) Marino of Monroe, MI, Barbara Jo (Andrew) Limmiatis of Estes Park, CO, Connie (Jim) Anderson of Manchester, Vivian (Lanny) Carter and Judy Hillis both of McMinnville; grandchildren, Alexis Rogers and Chase Rogers; great-grandchildren, Owen Cole, Louella Rogers and one on the way; several nieces, nephews and cousins and step-son, Chad Rogers.

Per his wishes, Mr. Dodson will be cremated. There will be no service or visitation held at High's.
