Johnny Parker

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Johnny Parker, age 90, was born May 2, 1933 and died August 21, 2023 at the Webb House Retirement Center in McMinnville, TN following a brief illness.

Mr. Parker was a United States Navy veteran, retired expediter with Carrier Corporation and a member of Morrison Church of Christ, where he was an elder for 43 years. His passion was the church, his family and farming. Mr. Parker was the son of the late Frank and Bessie Bonner Parker. He was married to Sylvia L. Rogers on June 27, 1952 who preceded him in death on February 20, 2013. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by brother, Kenneth Parker and sister, Nora Frances Parker Vandagriff.

Mr. Parker is survived by son, Mark (Teresa) Parker of McMinnville, TN; granddaughter, Hollie (Aaron) Roberts of McMinnville, TN; great-granddaughter, McKenzie Roberts of McMinnville, TN; other family members and many friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2023 at Morrison Church of Christ with Roger Comstock and Chris Perry officiating. Burial will follow at Morrison Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at High’s and Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at Morrison Church of Christ.
