Morrison, TN resident and Conway, NC native Josephine Leigh Futrell Turner, age 89, was born February 10, 1933 and died September 29, 2022 at The Webb House Retirement Center in McMinnville, TN after a lingering illness. A retired secretary with the Warren County Executive’s office and member of Central Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Arnold Raiford and Brownie Askew Futrell, Sr. She was married to Bill Turner who preceded her in death on November 14, 2019. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by grandson, Michael Edward Hutton and brother, Arnold R. Futrell, Jr. Ms. Turner is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia and David Hutton of the Vervilla Community and Joanne and Frank McCain of Franklin, TN; three grandchildren and spouses, Jonathan and Claire Hutton and Amy and Alex Ropp, both of Murfreesboro, TN and Allie McCain of Atlanta, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Charlie Quinton and Jackie Futrell of North Carolina and two nephews, Chad and Brent Futrell. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Sunday, October 2, 2022 in High’s Chapel with David Hutton, Jonathan Hutton and Cody Boston officiating. Burial will follow at Bascom Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until time of service at High’s. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Central Church of Christ Benevolence Fund or F.C. Boyd Christian School.
