Juanita Walline Scott

McMinnville, TN resident and Van Buren County, TN native, Juanita Walline Scott, age 82, was born March 24, 1940 and died August 4, 2022 at her residence following an extended illness. A retired assembly worker for Oster Corporation and a member of the Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Walter Mills and Mammie Hargrove Bishop, Sr. She was married to John Morris Scott of McMinnville, TN. In addition to parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Lester Rogers and Bill Whiteaker; daughter, Paula Rutledge; step-son, Greg Scott; two sisters, Gladys Hennessee and Louise Aldredge and four brothers, Elvin, James “Sonny”, Billy Bob and W.M. Bishop. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Scott is survived by two children, Pamela (Dennis) Parrish and Pat McGuire all of McMinnville, TN; four grandchildren, Jessica Holland and Melanie King both of McMinnville, TN, Brittany Deaton of Rock Island, TN and Bethani McGuire of McMinnville, TN; one great-granddaughter, Eliza King of McMinnville, TN; step-daughter, Rachel Hillis of the Centertown Community; step-granddaughter, Shelley Reno of Cookeville, TN; step-grandson, Skyler Scott of Viola, TN; one sister, Elise Killian of McMinnville, TN and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2022 at White Hill Church of Christ with Gary Newby and Lee Hennessee officiating. Burial will follow at White Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at High Funeral Home.
