June Lofton

Crossville, TN resident and Davidson County, TN native June Lofton, age 88, was born February 3, 1934 and died August 25, 2022 at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville, TN following an extended illness.           

In addition to her family, she was an avid animal lover and enjoyed all things related to Christmas. She was a devoted homemaker and held a strong Christian faith.

June was the daughter of the late Patrick Malcolm and Billie Jo Dale Woodard. She was married to the late James Frank Lofton on August 1, 1953. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by sister, Patsy Humphrey and nephew, Eddie Cantrell, DDS.

Ms. Lofton is survived by daughter, Terri (David) Adams of Oakland, TN; son, Mike Lofton of Arizona; granddaughter, Laura Adams of Martin, TN; nephew, Dale (Gloria) Humphrey of McMinnville, TN; niece, Donna (John) Hammond of Fairview, TN; brother-in-law, Bob Humphrey of Franklin, TN; sister-in-law, Jean Williams of Franklin, TN and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to all the staff at NHC Healthcare in McMinnville and Avalon Hospice.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Warren County Animal Control and Adoption Center.

Per Ms. Lofton’s wishes she will be cremated. No service or visitation will be held at High’s.
