Karen Nagy

McMinnville, TN resident and Long Island, NY native Karen Nagy, age 70, was born July 13, 1954 and died December 11, 2024 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro following a sudden illness.

An employee of River Park Hospital and member of St. Catherines Catholic Church, she was the daughter of the late Frederick Elliot and Delores Joan Tompkins Fisher. She was married December 13, 1977 to Joseph Sandor Nagy who preceded her in death May 14, 2021. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by grandson, Daniel Hutchings.

Being a universal blood donor, she gave blood regularly to the Red Cross and was an organ donor at her death. She participated with the American Cancer Society to help save lives.

Mrs. Nagy is survived by her son, Joseph (Carla-Faye) Nagy of McMinnville; daughter, Susan Nagy of McMinnville; grandson, Dylan Hutchings of McMinnville; granddaughter, Rebbecca Nagy and several brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital. 

Per her wishes, Mrs. Nagy will be cremated. There will be no service or visitation held at High’s.
