Kathy Dean Hicks

Rock Island, TN resident and McDowell County, WV native Kathy Dean Hicks, age 68, was born December 18, 1955 and died January 1, 2024 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN following a brief illness.

A homemaker and member of Fall City Baptist Church, she was the daughter of the late Charles Wilson and Mabel Mae Johnson Wallace. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by daughter, Cindy Burrage; sisters, Janice Harbin and Jennifer Finley and brothers, Richard Wallace, Bobby Wallace and Randy Wallace. 

She was married to Bob Hicks of Rock Island, TN in 2001. In addition to her husband, she is survived by daughter, Laura Lee Christopher of Alabama; grandchildren, Dawn Marie, Joseph, Thomas, Tasha, Samantha, Tess, Tiffany, Cameron and Timmy; several great-grandchildren; sister, Karen Bolen; brother, Michael Wallace; mother-in-law, Jewel Rigsby; sister-in-law, Patsy Surber; two loving cats, Dot and Gizmo and many, many special friends. 

Per Mrs. Hicks wishes, she will be cremated. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
