Kay Dillon Ramsey of McMinnville was born on January 24, 1939 and died on December 19, 2022. She was a member of Central Church of Christ. She graduated from U.T. Knoxville and moved back to McMinnville where she married, raised a family and had a 30+ year career with the Tennessee Department of Human Services. She retired in 1998 and spent the next two decades volunteering, traveling and most importantly, enjoying her grandchildren. She was very active throughout her life in church and giving back to the community through softball, Girl Scouts, Habitat for Humanity and other organizations.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Enoch Smartt Ramsey; parents, Hubert Allen Dillon and Marguerite Crick Dillon; step-mother, Faye Dillon; sister, Nancy D. Stubblefield; half-brother, Frank Reynolds; brother-in-law, Billy Stubblefield; and sister-in-law, Martha Elizabeth Crichlow.
She is survived by her daughters, Lynne Ramsey-Guerrero of Columbia, SC and Tricia Robinson (Robie) of Chattanooga, TN; favorite son, Allen (Tricia) of Gallatin; TN; bonus daughter, Sonya Rawlings (Mike) of Houston, TX; grandchildren, Jake Robinson (Ashley) of Palo Alto, CA, Dallas Guerrero of Columbia, SC, Delaney Guerrero of Atlanta, GA, Dillon and Colton Ramsey of Gallatin, TN; her niece and understudy Mary D. Koelbl and other family and friends.
A celebration of life will be held at Central Church of Christ on Saturday, January 7, 2023, with visitation starting at 12:00 p.m. and the service starting at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Habitat for Humanity of Warren County in her name.
