McMinnville resident and Pulaski, TN native Larry Wayne Tate, age 78, was born August 12, 1946 and died March 11, 2025 at Maury Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.

A retired self-employed brick mason and member of the Church of Christ, he was the son of the late Roy Forrest and Macie D Colvett Tate. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Reta Elkins Tate and sister, Faye Smith.

Mr. Tate is survived by sons, Cary (Cheryl) Tate of Morrison, TN and Terry Lee (Shannon) Tate of Manchester, TN; eight grandchildren, Cory (Chelsea) Tate, Cody Tate, Reilly (Grace) Tate, Randall King, Jr., Taryn Tate, Bohdi Tate, Brandon Haston and Nathanial Tate; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Sue (Wendell) Talley of Nashville, TN and Ann Burch, Wanda (Laymon) Tanner and Connie Tate all of McMinnville; brother, David (Sandy) Tate of McMinnville and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 16, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Wendell Talley to officiate. Interment will follow at Mt. View Cemetery on Hwy. 30 in Warren County. Visitation will be Saturday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.
