Lexie Leona Taylor

Lexie Leona Elliott Taylor, age 87, a Rock Island, TN resident and White County native was born September 4, 1932 and passed away May 7, 2020 at Alive Hospice in Murfreesboro following an extended illness. She was a retired retail clerk, a member of the Baptist faith, and the daughter of the late Miller and Dora Davis Elliott. She was also preceded in death by husband, Euclid Edward Taylor; two daughters, Debbie Lyle and Teresa Hillis; grandson, Joshua Beckwith; three brothers, Joe, Mackie, and James Elliott and six sisters, Christine Collazo, Evaline Elliott, Louise Hildreth, Pearl Caldwell, Willie Caldwell, and Lola Hash. Mrs. Taylor is survived by grandson, Taylor Hillis of Rock Island; great-grandson, Jaxon Townsend Hillis of Rock Island; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Ellen (Jimmy) Grissom of Florida; Ruby (Osburn) Huntley of McMinnville; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dewey (Doris) Elliott of Rock Island and Larry (Jackie) Elliott of McMinnville; brother-in-law, Bobby Hash; sister-in-law, Betty Powers and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, and friends also survive. A private graveside service and interment will be held for family only at Mt. View Cemetery with Steve Breedlove officiating. No visitation will be held at High’s.
