Lillie Loetta Smith

Lillie Loetta Smith, age 93, a McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native, was born February 16, 1927 and passed October 9, 2020 at St. Thomas West in Nashville following a sudden illness. She was a homemaker, a member of the Church of Christ, she loved the Lord, and the daughter of the late John Floyd and Josie Mayfield Whitworth. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by husband, John Smith; sister, Mae Gibbs; five brothers, E.L., Junior, Joe, Bennie, and Wayne Whitworth; and granddaughter, Shawndee Martin Taylor. Mrs. Smith is survived by three daughters, Lynda (Mike) Hockett of Manchester, TN, Brenda Smith and Jerry of McMinnville, TN, and Kathy (G.A.) Martin of Morrison, TN; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and four sisters, Deamie Moody of Rock Island, TN, Jenny Hillis of Rock Island, TN, Lorena Snyder of Indiana, and Joyce Glover of California. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She loved all her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchild. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, October 12, 2020 in High’s Chapel with Randal Gann officiating. Burial will follow in Crain Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.
