Linda Carol McCormick

McMinnville resident and Vicksburg, Mississippi native Linda Carol McCormick, age 68, was born July 31, 1955 and died November 30, 2023 Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN following a brief illness. A veteran of the United States Army, homemaker and member of First Assembly of God, she was the daughter of the late Ishmael and Dorothy Mae Dillon Bailey, Jr. She was married to Garry McCormick of McMinnville on August 19, 1976. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by father-in-law, Richard McCormick and brothers-in-law, Terry McCormick and Dale Delong. In addition to her husband, Mrs. McCormick is survived by son, Dennis Lee of McMinnville; granddaughter, Eulayra McCormick; brothers, Robert Bailey (Fran Namath) of Kentucky and Ray (Wendy) Bailey of Mississippi; sister, Lori (Wayne) Atwood of Mississippi; mother-in-law, Mariecha McCormick; brothers-in-law, Jerry (Verna) McCormick and Timmy (Virginia) McCormick; sisters-in-law, Debra Roller, Connie Delong, Melissa Smith, Wanda (Robin) Wright, Betty (Mike) Johnson and Tamisha (Carl) Burgess and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 4, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Sammy Lee officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville. Visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s. Online condolences may be made at www.highfuneralhome.com.
