Linda Roy Cantrell

McMinnville resident and Warren County native Linda Roy Cantrell, age 80, was born February 2, 1943 and died August 5, 2023 at St. Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, TN following an extended illness.           

A retired employee of Oster and member of Bethany Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Jason and Lela Prater Cantrell. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, Donald and Violet Cantrell. 

Miss Cantrell is survived by sister and brother-in-law, Shirley and Jerry Elrod of McMinnville, TN; nephew, Michael Elrod; nieces, Debbie Warren and Sherry (Justin) Britton, both of Murfreesboro, TN and Donna (Stan) Hofferburt of Smyrna, TN and eight great-nieces and great-nephews. 

Graveside service and interment will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, August 7, 2023 at Bethany Cemetery in Warren County with David Costello officiating. No service or visitation will be held at High’s. Family and friends will meet at the cemetery. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
