Lloyd Powers

Scottsville, KY resident and Warren County, TN native Lloyd Powers, age 75, was born July 12, 1947 and died March 29, 2023 at Hospice House in Bowling Green, KY following an extended illness.           

Mr. Powers was a retired plant manager in the apparel industry and attended Peter’s Creek Church of Christ in Barren County, KY. He was the son of the late Hubert and Clara Mae Driver Powers. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Molly Minton, Betty Rowland, Eddie Powers, Carl Powers and John Leonard Powers.

Lloyd is survived by daughter, Denise (Tony) Taylor of Scottsville, KY; two grandchildren, Blake (Kaitlyn) Taylor of Alvaton, KY and Amanda Howard (T.J.) of Scottsville, KY; three great-grandchildren, Logan Taylor, Alainna Howard and Clara Jane Howard; two siblings, Mary (Carl) Davis of Murfreesboro, TN and Joe (Evolyn) Powers of McMinnville, TN and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 1, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Carson Rust officiating. Burial will follow at White Hill Cemetery in Van Buren County, TN. Visitation will be Friday from 1:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
