McMinnville resident Mabel Goshener Sherrill, 87, passed away July 29, 2021 at Legacy Health and Rehab after a short illness. She was born Sept. 1, 1933 in Augusta, Maine, the youngest of nine children born to Perley Authur and Algie Etter Lewis Cunningham. She was a retired employee with the Warren County Teacher Center and a member of McMinnville Church of God where she served as a Sunday School teacher and long-time organist. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roger Sherrill in 1988 and siblings Leland, Celia, Harland, Alice, Jeanette, Elwood, Perley and Gloria. She is survived by son, Duane Sherrill of McMinnville; grandsons, Jack and Henry Sherrill; and a host of nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Rev. Jeff Page officiating. There will be no visitation per her request and all friends and family are asked to meet at the cemetery. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
