Mae Walling Davis

Mae Walling Davis, age 83, a Smyrna, TN resident and Warren County, TN native, was born July 2, 1938 and died September 23, 2021 at her residence following a brief illness. She worked in quality control for many years in a hosiery mill, was a member of Highland Heights Church of Christ, and the daughter of the late Rayburn Leroy and Ivora McGiboney Walling. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Eugene Davis and sister, Edna Rhea Scarbrough. Mrs. Davis is survived by son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Connie Taylor of La Vergne, TN; five grandchildren; two brothers, Jerry (Judy) Walling of Tracy City, TN and Hoyt (Nina) Walling of Marietta, GA; two nieces; and five nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 30, 2021 in High’s Chapel with Wayne Cornwell officiating. Burial will follow in Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Thursday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.
