Morrison, TN resident and Warren County native Maggie Mai Locke, age 97, was born July 26, 1927 and died September 3, 2024 at her residence following an extended illness. 

A homemaker and a member of Hiwassee Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Spurgeon and Gertrude Rucker Wood. She was married to Fred Locke, Sr. who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Johnny Locke and Melvin Locke; daughter, Betty Jean Ramsey and five siblings. 

Mrs. Locke is survived by sons, Fred (Gail) Locke and Larry (Hardenia) Locke, both of McMinnville; daughter, Joyce (Eugene) Wilkerson of Morrison, TN; thirteen grandchildren; a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; sister, Theresa Smith of McMinnville; a host of nieces and nephews and devoted friends, Leda Roberts, Paula Barnes and Johnny Craven. 

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 8, 2024 in High’s Chapel with Eugene Wilkerson, Jerry Rutledge and George King, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at High’s.
