Marcus Edward King

Marcus Edward King, age 59, a resident of Delano, TN, departed this life on February 19. 2022. He passed peacefully at the University of Tennessee Medical Center following a sudden illness, while surrounded by family. He was born October 18, 1962 in Warren County, TN to Cecil Edward and Evelyn Pearl King. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Lucinda Pearl King and niece, Hannah Barnes. In addition to his parents, he is survived by spouse, Tammy Smith King; son, Kenneth Edward King (Mea McBride); daughters, Tabitha (Daniel) Buckner and Lyndsey (James) Buck; sister, Cindy Barnes; brother, Tim King; grandchildren, Jaxon King, Eli Beaty, Kenya Buckner, Kaylee and Nevaeh Buck, Dyson McBride and Colten Link and several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other family and friends. Marcus was an environmental, health and safety manager at Polartec, LLC in Cleveland, TN and a long-time member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He was known as an extremely loving and caring person and father and he enjoyed being a Papa. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2022 in High’s Chapel. Burial will follow in Mt. View Cemetery in McMinnville, TN. Visitation will be Thursday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 1:30 at High’s.
