Martisha Latrice Mays

Nashville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Martisha Latrice Mays, age 43, was born July 31, 1980 and died suddenly on January 9, 2024.

She was a employee of Bestway Services, attended Browntown Church of Christ and she was the daughter of Larry Battles of Morrison, TN and the late Mary Ann Wilkerson Battles. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by maternal grandfather, Dave Wilkerson and paternal grandmother, Hattie Wright. 

She was married to Bobby Mays on August 28, 2014. In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by sister, Gale (Nelson) Ramsey of McMinnville, TN; grandmother, Nancy L. Wilkerson of Morrison, TN; aunts and uncles, Eugene (Joyce) Wilkerson, Jimmy (Linda) Wilkerson and Nancy Wilkerson, all of Morrison, TN, Teresa Carney of McMinnville, TN,  Carolyn Battles of Morrison, TN, Calvin (Felicia) Wright of Alabama, Derek Wright of Manchester, TN and Michael Wright of McMinnville, TN; niece, Kaitlyn Ramsey; nephews, Kennedy Ramsey and Tyler Ramsey; great-nephew, Kailo "Tink Tink" Brown; special cousins, Isaiah and Kristopher Robledo, Micah Fleming and Harmoni and Willow Kennerly; a host of special cousins and special friend, Ricky Mason of Nashville, TN. 

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 14, 2024 in High’s Chapel. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Sunday from 1:00 p.m. until time of service at High Funeral Home.
