Nashville, TN resident and McMinnville native Mary Ann Carr, age 72, was born June 18, 1952 and died March 8, 2025 at Creekside Health and Rehabilitation in Madison, TN following an extended illness.
A retired employee with the State of Tennessee and a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, she was the daughter of the late Ruben and Beulah Jones Wooten. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by sister, Betty Jackson and brothers, Bill, Harvey, J.D. and James Harley Wooten.
Ms. Carr is survived by son, Anthony Carr of Smithville, TN; two grandchildren, Deondre Carr and Sierra Carr; three great-grandchildren, Jordan Carr, Gemini Carr and Remi Carr; sisters, Nancy Wilkerson of Viola, TN and Jessie (Bedford) Crawford of Nashville, TN; brothers, Samuel Wooten of Nashville, TN and Donnie (Mildred) Wooten of Manchester, TN; devoted niece, Rita Tate of Nashville, TN and several other nieces and nephews.
Mary enjoyed yard selling, plants, going out to eat and loved spending time and being around her family.
Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Friday, March 14, 2025 in High’s Chapel with Eugene Wilkerson officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County. Visitation will be Friday from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
