Mary Elizabeth Rogers

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Mary Elizabeth Rogers, age 82, was born September 16, 1940 and died June 22, 2023 at Willow Branch Health and Rehabilitation in McMinnville, TN following an extended illness.           

A retired employee of Oster and member of the Baptist church, she was the daughter of the late Meadows and Elsie Reed. She was married to David Earl Rogers on June 3, 1961 who preceded her in death on June 11, 2020. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son-in-law, Timmy Jacobs and sister-in-law, Dean Reed. 

Mrs. Rogers is survived by three children, Cindy Jacobs and David (Paula) Rogers, Jr., both of McMinnville, TN and Lisa (Mike) Thaxton of Viola, TN; seven grandchildren, Craig (Tara) Rogers of Medina, TN, Josh (Andrea) Thaxton and Jared Jacobs (Elizabeth), both of McMinnville, TN, Kylie (Ryan) Vincion of Viola, TN, Allison (Dylan) Pottenger of Portland, ME, Lauren Rogers of Cookeville, TN and Layla (Brett) Burgess of McMinnville, TN; twelve great-grandchildren, Brinlee, Zoey, Caden, Payton, Baylee, Elsie, Chandler, Declan, Vinny, Rylan, Knox and Charlee-Mae; brother, Eddie Reed, Sr. of McMinnville, TN and several nieces and nephews. 

Graveside service and interment will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, June 25, 2023 at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Warren County, TN with Buddy Reed officiating. Visitation will be Sunday from 12:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at High’s.
