Mary Jeanette Deason

Mary Jeanette Cloyd Deason, age 73, a McMinnville, TN resident and White County, TN native was born November 30, 1947 and died July 21, 2021 at NHC of McMinnville following an extended illness. She was a retired employee with Genlyte Thomas Group in Sparta, TN, and a member of the Baptist faith. She was preceded in death by mother and stepfather, Willie Mae and Walter Lowery, and father Haston Cloyd. Ms. Deason is survived by companion, James Sherrell; son, Darron (Carrie) Sherrell; and daughter, Shannon Gannon all of McMinnville, TN; six grandchildren, Kacie Looper (Kyle White), Seth Looper (Cydnie West), Ethan Cantrell, Caylie Sherrell, Wesley Sherrell and Chase Gannon; three great-grandchildren, Kylan Moore, Khloe White, and Kyson White; and sisters, Faye Judkins, Sue Broyles, Linda Cantrell, and Diane Thompson all of Sparta, TN. Several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service and interment will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, July 24, 2021 in High’s Chapel with Jason Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery in White County. Visitation will be Friday from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at High’s.
