Mary Lou Savage

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Mary Lou Savage, age 84, was born September 14, 1938 and died February 22, 2023 at NHC Healthcare of McMinnville, TN following an extended illness.           

A homemaker, she was the daughter of the late Marvin Lusk, Sr. and Josephine Martin. She was married to Marcellus Savage, who preceded her in death on June 19, 2005. 

Mrs. Savage is survived by son, Frank (Rhonda) Martin of McMinnville, TN; grandson, Corey (Alisha) Hill of Murfreesboro, TN; great-grandchildren, Destini, Elijah, Judah and Tahari; step-granddaughter, Shakka Hill; sisters, Mildred (Joseph) Charlotte of Louisiana, Joann (Thomas) Woodard of Springfield, TN, Glenda (Kenneth) Smith and Willie Mae Martin, both of McMinnville, TN, Joyce (Walter) Penn of Cincinnati, OH and Beverly Martin and Evon Carney, both of Nashville, TN; brothers, Raymond (Marcia) Martin of Murfreesboro, TN and  Marvin (Henrietta) Lusk, Jr. of McMinnville, TN; brother-in-law, Fred (Eva) Savage of McMinnville, TN; sister-in-law, Mary Ramsey of McMinnville, TN; aunt, Bertha Blackman of Charlotte, NC and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, February 27, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Rev. Gerard Harlan officiating. Burial will follow at Gardens of Memory Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. and Monday from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. at High Funeral Home.
