Masel Lou Bishop

McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Masel Lou Bishop, age 61, was born July 25, 1961 and died January 9, 2023 at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, TN following an extended illness.           

A custodian with Centertown Elementary School, she was the daughter of the late Norman Junior Hayes and Kate Roach Hayes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, James Miles, Paul Hayes and Norman Hayes.

Ms. Bishop is survived by two children, Billy (Angel) Bishop, Jr. of McMinnville, TN and Latasha Hayes (Justin Thornton) of Cookeville, TN; two grandchildren, Serenity Faith Bishop and Lincoln Jace Bishop; brother, Billy Hayes of McMinnville, TN and three nephews, James Miles, Josh Miles and Matthew Johnson, all of McMinnville, TN.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023 in High’s Chapel with Ernie Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow at Wilson Chapel Cemetery in Warren County, TN. Visitation will be Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at High’s.
