McMinnville, TN resident and Warren County, TN native Melba Harris Stembridge, age 89, was born August 22, 1932 died July 6, 2022 at River Park Hospital in McMinnville, TN following a sudden illness. A retired factory worker for McMinnville Garment Factory and a member of Unity Church of Christ, she was the daughter of the late Ernest Clarence Harris and Bertha Lucinda Busey. She was married to the late James Edward Stembridge who preceded her in death on March 14, 2000. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by son, Anthony Stembridge and brother, Jack Harris. Mrs. Stembridge is survived by children and spouses, Naomi (Scott) Brothers of Estill Springs, TN, Howard Lee Stembridge of McMinnville, TN, Barbara (Mike) Brumbelow of Manchester, TN, Nadine Stembridge, Nancy Mae (Wayne) Mooneyham and Arlene (Daniel) Majors, all of McMinnville, TN and Alvin Ray (Melissa) Stembridge of Rock Island, TN; fourteen grandchildren, Lynn, Mandy, Robbie, Brandi, Dustin, Matt, Justin, Cody, Kelsey, Treeah, Chloe, Rily, Ginger and Mitchell; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, June Keaton of McMinnville, TN and Geneva Bogle of Murfreesboro, TN and several nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 10, 2022 in High’s Chapel with Tim Long officiating. Burial will follow at Kirby Cemetery in Warren County, TN.
